1946 – 2017
The Chief Operating Officer of Hopegivers International passed from this life into her eternal reward on Saturday, June 17, 2017. She went to sleep in her home in West Virginia, and woke up in the presence of her Lord Jesus.
Lana began her service at Hopegivers International as a writer in August 2009, and in March 2013 she assumed her role as Chief Operating Officer. Lana loved editing stories of the orphans and other ministries of Hopegivers, which she was blessed to see firsthand. In India, she was especially touched by the children and the burned women.
Lana had an incredible impact on the Kingdom of God and was faithful in pursuing the vision of 1 Million Orphan Leaders by 2030.
Dr. Samuel Thomas, President & CEO said of Lana, “She has done well in what she did. That says everything.”
Lana’s friend Shelly Thomas noted “Lana was a woman of great faith and great love! She was one of a kind. Her heart beat for the Hopegiver’s mission of raising arrows for Christ. Words are not sufficient to express what she meant to us. She is already missed by those of us left behind, but she is rejoicing with our Lord and we praise Him for that! Our prayers are with her dear family.”
Lana is survived by her husband Eddie, her mother Marie and her two daughters Kristi Haislip and Teresa Pope Walson and three grandchildren John, Dakota and Desiree.
“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Mathew 25:21)
Thank you Lana for your faithful service. You served Hopegivers International well.
