"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with ALL thine heart, and with ALL thy soul, and with ALL thy might." – Deuteronomy 6:5
Do you see the word ALL in that Scripture? God never leaves anything out when He loves us; He commands that we give our all when we love Him as well. Our heavenly Father models a divinely holistic approach to love and provision when it comes to us – His children!
"And the second [commandment] is like unto it [the first commandment], Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" (Matthew 22:39).
Hopegivers has always been uniquely holistic in its approach to ministry. When the Lord led my dad to start the first orphanage in the 1970's, we provided care for the orphaned, abandoned and at-risk children we rescued 24/7. That blueprint came right out of Scripture where we learn that God is our Provider and He cares for our hearts, souls, minds and our bodies. That is why Hopegivers provides help:
Physically – A home, food, water, clothing and medical care
Emotionally – A family environment that gives love, guidance and protection in every Hope Home
Mentally – Every child gets an education – grade school through Bible College
Spiritually – Everyone is introduced to the Gospel of Jesus Christ
As you enjoy the blessings of God in 2014, please consider sharing the fruit of those blessings with the lost and abandoned. Just $30 monthly will help feed one child , $50 each month will help feed and clothe a Bible student and filling a Hope Can with pocket change will help feed a child for a month. But those are only suggestions. No amount is too small; you can't give too little. God blesses every penny given in love; He multiplies it bringing hope into an otherwise hopeless situation.
The harvest is huge (millions of abandoned children are in need of rescue); the laborers and the funds needed to rescue those millions are small. Pray for us daily! Give what you can from your heart. God will bless what you give in His Name!
