Hope for Those Left Behind
When God plants a vision, He is faithful to supply and equip for its completion. God has placed a burden on my heart to care for the widows and the children of the martyrs. These women and children have not only lost their husbands and fathers, they have lost their homes and their livelihoods.
I recently called the widow of a martyr who was killed in December 2011. When I asked what she was going to do, she said, “I will not leave this place; I have no other home. I will stay here and, if necessary, die a martyr’s death for Jesus just as my husband did.” The blood of her husband and other martyrs cry out to keep the Gospel alive in that village. Their sacrifice is a living testimony that can be kept alive through the family and other believers he has left behind if we will help!
I believe with all my heart that the greatest honor for any child of God is to die a martyr’s death. When martyrdom comes, the banner in heaven never goes half mast because heaven never loses a citizen! The only time in Scripture that it says Jesus ever stood to welcome a believer home was when Stephen, the first martyr, was stoned (Acts 7:55). The only reason Hopegivers has nearly 50,000 churches today is because of our martyrs. The blood of the martyrs is the seed for new churches!
Due to the sensitive nature of this ministry, we ask that you contact the Hopegivers office to learn more about “Martyrs Legacy” ministry. Please help us honor the blood of the martyrs by providing for their widows and children.
