Last October, we introduced Pastor Manuel from Delhi. He and his family had been beaten by Anti-Christians before they ransacked his house and broke his motorcycle. Pastor Manuel spent some time in the hospital with a head wound from the attack and was threatened that more persecution would follow if he did not stop conducting church services.
We had an overwhelming response of prayer and donations for Pastor Manuel from our faithful donors. His family needed help with medical bills, household items that had been destroyed, repairs and transportation. They also needed the encouragement of brothers and sisters in prayer, especially in the face of threats from the Anti-Christians.
Pastor Manuel continued to reach out to his community with the hope of Christ. Though the Anti-Christians were not held accountable by local authorities, there were no further attacks on the family.
Recently, members of our Indian office were able to visit Pastor Manuel. We are again thankful for the opportunity to share a joyful update on his situation. Manuel has been able to carry on leading his local church without incident. And because of your donations, the family has new cooking utensils and a motorcycle. They were also able to repair some pipes that were busted.
When asked what else we could do for him apart from pray, Pastor Manuel asked that we help him start an orphanage. He wants to help the children in the community by providing education, food and a family for those who have lost hope for a better future. Amen!
