“The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing” (Zephaniah 3:17).
God is a singer! He is a personal God who sings songs of pardon and of power. What is the subject of every song He sings? You and me! Shouldn’t we sing personal songs that speak of gratitude and praise to Him?
There are some churches where we do hear songs that speak of power, the Spirit and of a prince, but they don’t identify that powerful prince they sing about as Jesus. It is important to remember that the devil is a spirit, has power (although nothing like God) and is called the prince of the air. It is important to our Father that we sing out HIS name whenever we pray and sing of power and majesty.
Did you know that God actually delights over His saved children – those who have obeyed Him and accepted His Son Jesus as the only way to the Father – by singing over us?
He doesn’t care whether you are an accomplished singer or if the noises you call singing sound like something else. What song can you sing to Him? There are 150 songs in the Old Testament.; pick one! My prayer for you is that you do not start this day or end it without singing a song in your heart to Almighty God.
