Just 6 and 8, Mira and Basanti sobbed uncontrollably as their mother turned her back on her two daughters never to see them again. Imagine the horrible thoughts going through the minds of these little ones – “Mama, why don’t you love us anymore? What did we do wrong?” Their mother was hurting, but she loves them unselfishly and sacrificially.
The girl’s parents were poor farmers and could not even feed them twice a day. The girls would never get an education and their mother could only see them living the life she was living – a life with no promise.
Although these girls came from a non-Christian background, they quickly learned about Jesus, prayer and worship at the Hope Home. They are learning to read, write and know Christ. Going to school has opened their eyes to a future. Mira wants to become a teacher and Basanti wants to be a doctor (so she can give all the patients shots!)
Please help us offer a real future to thousands more like Mira and Basanti. Every child deserves a chance here and in eternity!
