Each year hundreds of people travel to India and Haiti with Hopegivers International to take part in ministry projects, construction projects or to offer medical care to the orphans and those serving them and all have an opportunity to share the love of Christ with those who don’t yet know Him. Each trip is an opportunity to grow spiritually, to gain an awareness of the desperate needs outside our circle of friends and family, and to serve unselfishly those less fortunate than us. We look forward to introducing teams from around the world to the amazing work that God is doing through the ministry of Hopegivers!
Our short-term mission trips are designed to involve team members in as many facets of the ministry as time will allow. Team members will be part of building intentional relationships in our Hope Homes and in villages where the ministry has been deeply involved for decades. The typical trip lasts 8-10 days and includes both work and ministry projects.
Most teams will have two full days of work projects, which will take place on our main orphan campus and in specific villages where Hopegivers has established churches and Hope Homes. Work projects allow the team to be the heart, hands and feet of Jesus by partnering with ministry leaders.
–Your team will spend one day on our main orphan campus (Hope Home) helping with new work projects or improving existing projects
–Your team will spend one day in a village working alongside orphan leadership
Most teams will also have three full days of ministry activities. At Hopegivers, our vision is to raise and train orphan leaders to share the Gospel all over the world. Your team can become part of that vision when it participates in ministry activities – whether in a Hope Home, a church or on the streets. Some of the ministry activities include:
–Sharing the Gospel message
–Ministering to orphans
Each trip will also include a day of sightseeing/shopping so that teams have the opportunity to engage with the local culture.
Hear what others are saying:
“Any believer who has an interest in Hopegivers should physically visit the ministry. The more who can go and see the amazing work being done, the more hearts will be turned to helping Hopegivers pursue the vision of One Million Orphan Leaders Worldwide by 2030 for Christ. My visit to India has placed Hopegivers at the top of my priority list. I intend to make my trips to India a life-long habit!” – Pastor Jeff Struecker
“The love for the Gospel, the commitment and the joy in these people are inspirational. If I could bring just 10 per cent of pastors I know to a [Emmanuel Seminary] graduation [in India], I believe our country would be different today!” – Jim Lukehart
“The single most formative experience of my life took place in India while attending a Bible school graduation. There are more unreached people groups in India than in any other nation. This graduation took place in Northern India where the smallest percentages of Christians live relative to southern India. I watched hundreds of poor village pastors stand together and recite a martyr’s oath. Their commitment is to die – if that’s what it takes – to tell people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These young people were going into some of the most persecuted regions of the world, where people die and are imprisoned for preaching the Gospel every single day.”Johnnie Moore Chief of Staff Mark Burnett, Producer (Movie series, Son of God)
