“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” (Luke 6:38)
God wants to bless your life. He has set up the universe so you get blessed when you follow his commandments and live like he wants you to live.
I remember a critical time in my life when my mother was in the ICU with a heart attack. We waited in that small ICU waiting room for hours. It was one of the most grueling times in my life. We were afraid to leave even to get food because the outlook for my mother was so bleak.
After my mother died, I took a trip back to that dreaded waiting room because God had pressed on my heart to serve those experiencing the same pain that I had experienced. We received a fruit basket and I took it to the ICU waiting room for others to enjoy. As I returned home and pulled in front of my garage, there sat TWO more fruit baskets. I learned that day that you simply can’t out give God.
As you give to the ministry of Hopegivers, my prayer is that God would bless you. I don’t think there’s anything magical about it. I don’t believe we give to get blessed, but I believe God’s word is true and He tells us as we purpose in our heart to give with the right motives, He will bless us. He wants us to give because He loves a cheerful giver.
“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.” (2 Corinthians 9:7)
As you bless other people, God will bless you more than you could possibly imagine.
