Hopegivers not only broke ground for a new school building this summer, our 4th grade students walked through the doors of their new school the first day of school! What a thrill to watch how God intervened on every front!
God provided the finances, the land and eager workers worked hard to make sure the 4th graders had a school by September 8th, the first day of school. Jennifer Reynolds (see her monthly blog on our site) was there during the construction period and was blessed to watch how the entire community was blessed because of this project.
Twenty to thirty men, young and old, would show up every day to the building site hoping to be hired for some part of the project. We only needed a dozen at a time, but we did rotate as many as we could in order to give everyone who wanted to work on the project an opportunity to participate. These men labored in extreme heat and humidity for $8 a day – never complaining! It was truly humbling to see the zeal and the drive to provide these kids with a school. Every worker happily started each morning in prayer. Who could not be blessed watching that! We will have plenty of pictures next month of that first week of school!
Please continue to pray for our ministry, our churches, our students, and our long-term goal to continue building onto this school!
